The Medical Informatics Europe annual meeting took place in Munich, Germany between 28 August and 2 September, under the name Health – Exploring Complexity: An Interdiciplinary Systems Approach.

On Monday, 29 August he ASSESS CT consortium hosted a panel titled “How fit is SNOMED CT for eHealth interoperability in Europe?“ at MIE 2016. Presentations followed the project’s  workpackage structure. The purpose of the panel was to inform the audience about the current status and future trends of SNOMED CT adoption in Europe, the experimental evidence and the the socioeconomic aspects that fed into ASSESS CT recommendations. The panel discussion focused on feedback on the ASSESS CT draft recommendations, in the context of cooperation among standards developing organisations in support to large scale eHealth deployment.
